September 30:
today we actually went to the Biligiri Ranga Swami Temple. There was a kid who showed us the temple. I can't remember his name. In the temple there was 2 or 3 statues of him and also other statues of a elephant and a god. There were also two pairs of shoes that belonged to Ranga Swami (the god the temple is to) one of the pairs of shoes was new and one was pair was old. They were both fancy and had shiny paper and gold paint. The older pair were worn and did not look as fancy but you could tell they used to be fancy. The shoes were about 2 feet long.
On our way to the temple there was a stone carving of a god. There was a monkey hanging around the statue that people first gave offering to the statue then gave that same offering to the monkey (the offering was some bananas).
